Getting Around ATH Airport
The airport features two terminals: the main terminal and a satellite terminal. The main terminal is the hub for all intra-Schengen flights and some non-Schengen flights. It has three levels: the arrivals level, the departures level, and a food court level that offers a view of the eastern runway. The main terminal is equipped with 144 check-in desks, 14 jet bridges, and 11 luggage belt conveyors. It is divided into two halls: Hall A for non-Schengen and non-European flights, and Hall B for intra-Schengen and domestic flights.
The satellite terminal, accessible via an underground link with moving walkways, has two levels for arrivals and departures. This terminal has 10 jet bridges and can handle up to six million passengers annually. It is primarily used by several low-cost carriers and airlines for both Schengen and non-Schengen flights.
To navigate between the terminals and within the main terminal, travelers can utilize clear signage and moving walkways. Key areas such as check-in desks, security checkpoints, and boarding gates are well-marked. For a quicker transit, passengers can follow the color-coded signs that differentiate between Schengen and non-Schengen zones. Additionally, the airport provides information desks and interactive kiosks to assist travelers with directions and flight information.

Passport & Immigration Control Locations
The passport and immigration control at the airport is located in the arrivals area of the main terminal. Passengers arriving from international destinations are required to go through passport and immigration control before they can exit the airport. The airport has implemented advanced technology to ensure that the passport and immigration control process is quick and efficient for passengers. However, during peak travel periods, there may be some waiting time at the passport and immigration control.
