Getting Around BRU Airport
BRU Airport operates under a single terminal concept, with all facilities housed within one main building. The terminal is structured across multiple levels: the railway station is located on level -1, buses and taxis arrive at level 0, arrivals are on level 2, and departures are situated on level 3. Levels 2 and 3 provide access to the airport's two piers, A and B.
Pier A handles flights to and from Schengen countries and some non-Schengen destinations, including African routes and a daily flight to New York. This pier is connected to the main terminal building via the "Connector," which allows passengers to move between check-in areas and gates without changing floors. Pier B, the older of the two piers, is dedicated to non-Schengen flights. It features a two-deck system where the upper deck (level 3) is for departures and the lower deck (level 2) is for arrivals, leading directly to border control and baggage claim.
To navigate the airport efficiently, passengers should keep the following tips in mind:
- Follow the clear signage throughout the terminal to find your way between levels and piers.
- Utilize the "Connector" for a seamless transition between Pier A and Pier B without the need for additional security checks.
- Check the level-specific services: level -1 for train access, level 0 for buses and taxis, level 2 for arrivals, and level 3 for departures.
