Cancun Airport Terminal Map
Getting Around CUN Airport
The airport is divided into four terminals, each serving different types of flights and airlines. Terminal 1 is dedicated to charter flights and features 7 gates, a VIP lounge, and helicopter stands. It is the smallest terminal and caters exclusively to private air travel.
Terminal 2 is the oldest terminal and handles both domestic and international flights. It has 22 gates split between a satellite building (A1-A11) and the main building (B12-B22). The terminal offers a variety of amenities including a bank, food outlets, shops, and two lounges: the MERA Business Lounge and The Lounge by Global Lounge Network.
Terminal 3 is primarily for international flights and features 21 gates (C4-C24). This terminal is used by major U.S., Canadian, and European airlines. Travelers can find shops, including duty-free options, cafés, restaurants, and the MERA Business Lounge. Immigration and customs facilities are also available here.
Terminal 4, the newest terminal, also serves both domestic and international flights. It has 14 gates and a range of amenities including three lounges: the MERA Business Lounge (national), MERA Business Lounge (international), and The Lounge in Partnership with Air Transat. The terminal can handle up to 9 million passengers annually.
To navigate between terminals, passengers can use shuttle services provided by the airport. Signage throughout the airport is clear, making it easier for travelers to find their way. Additionally, information desks are available in each terminal to assist with directions and other inquiries.

Security & Screening

Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)
Cancun Airport has security checkpoints located in each of its three terminals. Passengers are required to pass through security before entering the boarding area. The security checkpoints are equipped with X-ray machines and metal detectors to ensure the safety of all passengers and their belongings. It is recommended that passengers arrive at the airport at least two hours before their flight to allow enough time for security screening.
Fast Track Lanes and Locations
Fast track lanes are available for passengers who wish to expedite the security screening process. These lanes are located in each of the three terminals and are accessible to passengers who have purchased a fast track pass or are members of a frequent flyer program. Fast track passes can be purchased online or at the airport. The fast track lanes allow passengers to bypass the regular security lines and move through the screening process more quickly.
Passport & Immigration Control Locations
Passport and immigration control is located in each of the three terminals at Cancun Airport. Passengers arriving from international destinations are required to pass through immigration control before entering Mexico. The immigration officers will check each passenger's passport and visa (if required) to ensure that they meet the entry requirements for Mexico. Passengers departing from CUN Airport are required to pass through passport control before boarding their flight. It is important to have all necessary travel documents ready and available for inspection by the immigration officers.

Baggage Claim Areas
Upon arrival at CUN Airport, passengers can easily locate the baggage claim areas in each terminal. Terminal 1 has two baggage claim areas, while Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 each have three. The baggage claim areas are clearly marked and staff members are available to assist passengers if needed. Baggage carts are also available for use in the baggage claim areas.
