DSM Airport features a single terminal with two concourses, A and C, making it relatively straightforward to navigate. Concourse A houses gates A1 to A5 and serves airlines such as Allegiant Air, Southwest Airlines, and United Airlines. Concourse C includes gates C1 to C7, accommodating carriers like American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and Frontier Airlines. Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)
Des Moines Airport has two security checkpoints located in the Main Terminal. One is located near the entrance of Concourse A and the other is located near the entrance of Concourse C. Both checkpoints are equipped with TSA PreCheck lanes for expedited screening for eligible passengers.
Fast Track Lanes and Locations
Des Moines Airport does not currently offer Fast Track lanes for expedited security screening. However, TSA PreCheck lanes are available at both security checkpoints for eligible passengers.
Passport & Immigration Control Locations
DSM Airport has a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) facility located in the Main Terminal for international arrivals. Passengers will go through passport and immigration control upon arrival at this facility before proceeding to baggage claim and ground transportation.
TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints
At the airport, TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints are available for passengers to go through security screening. TSA Pre Check is a program that allows eligible passengers to go through expedited screening, which means they can keep their shoes, belts, and light jackets on, and their laptops and liquids in their bags. To be eligible for TSA Pre Check, passengers must apply and be approved for the program. TSA Pre Check is available at select checkpoints at DSM.

Global Entry Locations
Des Moines Airport does not have a Global Entry Enrollment Center, but there are several locations nearby where travelers can apply for Global Entry. Global Entry is a program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers entering the United States. To apply for Global Entry, travelers must complete an online application and schedule an interview at an enrollment center. The closest enrollment centers to Des Moines Airport are located in Omaha, Nebraska and Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Baggage Claim Areas
The airport has two baggage claim areas located on the lower level of the terminal. Baggage from all airlines is delivered to these areas, and passengers can easily locate their luggage by checking the electronic display boards located throughout the baggage claim areas. If you have any issues with your baggage, you can contact the baggage service office located near the baggage claim areas.
