Getting Around ERI Airport

ERI Airport features a single passenger terminal that simplifies your navigation through its facilities. The terminal is structured on two levels, with most passenger services like check-in desks, baggage claim, and car rentals conveniently located on the first floor. This layout means you can move from one service to the next without the hassle of navigating through multiple buildings or terminals.

For dining and waiting, the terminal offers a renovated restaurant with access from the secure side, allowing you to relax and eat without leaving the boarding area. The terminal includes seven gates, but currently, only Gates 5 and 7 are regularly used by American Eagle, equipped with jetbridges that facilitate direct access to the aircraft. Here are a few tips to help you navigate inside the airport:

  • Follow the clear signage for services like baggage claim and car rentals, all located on the ground floor.
  • Utilize the jetbridges at Gates 5 and 7 for a smooth boarding process.
  • Enjoy food or drinks at the airside restaurant if you have some time before your flight.

Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)

At the airport, there are two security checkpoints located in the terminal building. One is located near the entrance of the terminal and the other is located near the gates. These checkpoints are equipped with advanced technology to ensure the safety and security of all passengers and their belongings. It is recommended that passengers arrive at the airport at least 2 hours before their scheduled departure time to allow enough time for the security screening process.

Fast Track Lanes and Locations

ERI offers a Fast Track program for passengers who want to expedite their security screening process. The Fast Track program is available for a fee and can be purchased online or at the airport. The Fast Track lanes are located at both security checkpoints in the terminal building. Passengers who use the Fast Track lanes can expect to go through security screening in a shorter amount of time compared to the regular lanes.

Passport & Immigration Control Locations

Passport and immigration control at Erie Airport is located in the main terminal building. After arriving at the airport, passengers will need to follow signs to the passport control area. Here, passengers will be required to present their passport and any necessary travel documents to the immigration officer. After passing through passport control, passengers will be directed to the baggage claim area to collect their luggage. It is important to note that customs and immigration procedures may vary depending on the passenger's country of origin and destination.

TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints

At Erie Airport, TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints are available to ensure a smooth and efficient security screening process for all passengers. TSA Pre Check is a program that allows eligible passengers to enjoy expedited screening at security checkpoints. To qualify for TSA Pre Check, passengers must undergo a background check and meet other eligibility requirements. The TSA checkpoint at ERI Airport is located in the main terminal, and passengers are advised to arrive at least 2 hours before their scheduled departure time to allow for ample time to go through security.
