Getting Around FLL Airport
Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport features four terminals, each with its own set of concourses and gates. Terminal 1, also known as the Yellow Terminal, includes Concourses A, B, and C with a total of 23 gates. This terminal primarily serves international travelers through Concourse A and is a major hub for Southwest Airlines operating mainly out of Concourse B. Terminal 2, the Red Terminal, contains Concourse D with 9 gates and serves airlines like Air Canada and Delta Air Lines, the latter of which offers a Sky Club for passengers.
Terminal 3, referred to as the Purple Terminal, houses Concourses E and F with 20 gates and serves as the base for JetBlue. This terminal is conveniently connected to Terminal 4 via a walkway. Terminal 4, the Green Terminal, contains Concourse G with 14 gates and serves as the primary base for Spirit Airlines. This terminal also features an expanded U.S. Customs and Border Protection facility for international travelers.
To navigate between terminals, passengers can utilize the airport's shuttle service, which runs frequently. Signage throughout the airport is clear and helps guide travelers to their desired locations, whether it be gates, lounges, or dining options. Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)
The airport has multiple security checkpoints located throughout its four terminals. Terminal 1 has one checkpoint located near the entrance of the terminal. Terminal 2 has two checkpoints, one near the entrance and one near the gate area. Terminal 3 has one checkpoint located near the entrance of the terminal. Terminal 4 has two checkpoints, one near the entrance and one near the gate area. Passengers are advised to arrive early and allow ample time for security screening.
Fast Track Lanes and Locations
FLL offers a Fast Track program for passengers who wish to expedite their security screening process. The Fast Track lanes are available in all four terminals and are located near the standard security checkpoints. The program is available for a fee and passengers can purchase it online or at the airport. The Fast Track program is recommended for passengers who are running late or have a tight connection.
Passport & Immigration Control Locations
Passport and immigration control at Fort Lauderdale Hollywood Airport is located in Terminal 3. The checkpoint is located near the entrance of the terminal and is easily accessible for arriving passengers. Passengers are advised to have their passport and travel documents ready for inspection. The airport also offers Global Entry and TSA PreCheck programs for expedited passport and security screening for eligible passengers.
TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints
Fort Lauderdale Airport has multiple TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints located throughout the terminals. These checkpoints are designed to ensure the safety and security of all passengers and their belongings. This program is available to U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, and lawful permanent residents, as well as citizens of certain other countries. The Global Entry kiosks are located in the international arrivals area of the airport.

FLL has four terminals, each with its own baggage claim area. The baggage claim areas are located on the lower level of each terminal, and are easily accessible from the arrival gates. Once you have collected your luggage, you can proceed to the ground transportation area to catch a taxi, shuttle, or rental car.
