Getting Around HLN Airport
HLN Airport features a straightforward layout that makes navigation relatively simple for travelers. The terminal building is compact, with two ground-level boarding gate doors and two jet bridges. This setup ensures that passengers can quickly and easily reach their departure gates without the need for extensive walking or the use of shuttle services.

Security & Screening

Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)
The airport has one security checkpoint located on the main level of the terminal building. Passengers are required to go through the security checkpoint before entering the gate area. The airport recommends arriving at least 90 minutes before your scheduled departure time to allow enough time for the security screening process.
Fast Track Lanes and Locations
HLN does not currently offer any Fast Track lanes for expedited security screening. However, TSA PreCheck is available for eligible passengers, which allows them to go through a dedicated security lane and keep on their shoes, belts, and light jackets, and keep their laptops and liquids in their carry-on bags. The TSA PreCheck lane is located at the main security checkpoint.
Passport & Immigration Control Locations
Helena Regional Airport does not have any international flights, so there are no passport or immigration control locations within the airport. However, customs and immigration services are available at nearby international airports for passengers arriving from outside the United States.
TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints
Helena Airport has both TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints available for passengers. TSA Pre Check is a program that allows expedited screening for eligible passengers, meaning they can keep their shoes, belts, and light jackets on, as well as leave laptops and liquids in their carry-on bags. To be eligible for TSA Pre Check, passengers must apply and be approved for the program.

Global Entry Locations
Global Entry is a program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the United States. At HLN Airport, there is no Global Entry enrollment center. However, the closest enrollment center is located in Missoula, Montana, which is approximately 100 miles away. Travelers can schedule an appointment at the Missoula enrollment center to complete the Global Entry application process.
CLEAR Lane Locations
This airport does not currently have CLEAR Lanes. However, you still might be able to use CLEAR if you are traveling to or from another airport that does. You can easily check CLEAR airport locations and learn more about how to save a ton of time on your next trip!
