Getting Around HTS Airport
HTS Airport features a single terminal building, making navigation straightforward for travelers. The terminal is divided into two main areas: the landside, which includes ticketing and check-in counters, and the airside, where you will find the departure gates and passenger amenities. Clear signage throughout the terminal helps guide passengers to their desired locations.
Upon entering the terminal, you will find the check-in counters and baggage claim areas on the ground level. After passing through security, passengers enter the airside area, which houses the departure gates, restrooms, and various dining and shopping options. Security & Screening

Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)
The Huntington Tri-State Airport has two security checkpoints, one located on the first floor and the other on the second floor. The first-floor checkpoint is located near the baggage claim area, while the second-floor checkpoint is located near the departure gates. Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport at least two hours before their scheduled departure time to allow enough time for security screening.
Fast Track Lanes and Locations
The Huntington Tri-State Airport does not offer any fast track lanes for security screening. However, passengers who require special assistance or have medical conditions may request expedited screening through the TSA Cares program. This program allows passengers to receive assistance and expedited screening through the security checkpoint.
Passport & Immigration Control Locations
The Huntington Tri-State Airport does not have any international flights, therefore, there are no passport or immigration control locations within the airport. However, passengers traveling internationally from nearby airports such as Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport or Pittsburgh International Airport will go through passport and immigration control at those airports.
TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints
Huntington Airport has TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints for security screening. TSA Pre Check allows eligible passengers to go through a faster security screening process with expedited lanes and keep on their shoes, belts, and light jackets. This service is available for U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, and lawful permanent residents. Passengers can apply for TSA Pre Check online or in-person at an enrollment center.

Global Entry Locations
HTS Airport does not have Global Entry enrollment facilities on-site. However, the nearest Global Entry enrollment center is located at Pittsburgh International Airport, which is approximately 150 miles away. Global Entry is a U.S. Customs and Border Protection program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the United States. Applicants must complete an online application and attend an in-person interview at a Global Entry enrollment center.
CLEAR Lane Locations

Food, Shops & Services
HTS may be small, but it still offers a variety of food and shopping options for travelers. If you're feeling hungry, head over to the airport's restaurant, The Runway Cafe, which serves up classic American fare like burgers, sandwiches, and salads. For a quick snack or beverage, there are also vending machines located throughout the terminal.
When it comes to shopping, the airport has a few options to choose from. The Gift Shop offers a selection of souvenirs, snacks, and travel essentials, while the Newsstand has a variety of magazines, books, and newspapers. Additionally, there is a Duty-Free store for international travelers looking to purchase tax-free items.

Baggage Claim Areas
Upon arriving at HTS, passengers will find the baggage claim area conveniently located near the terminal exit. The airport has two baggage carousels, one for domestic flights and one for international flights. Passengers can easily identify their luggage by checking the electronic display above the carousel which shows the flight number and destination. If you have any trouble locating your luggage, the airport staff at the baggage claim area will be happy to assist you.
