Getting Around JAN Airport

The layout of JAN Airport features an L-shaped terminal, which simplifies navigation. The terminal has two main concourses: the West Concourse and the East Concourse. The West Concourse, containing gates 15 to 19, extends almost straight from the central area where you'll find ticket counters. On the other hand, the East Concourse, which houses gates 1 through 4, extends north from the other end of the terminal. This setup allows for straightforward movement between gates within each concourse.

To make your way around JAN Airport more efficiently, here are a few tips:

  • Signage is clear and visible throughout the terminal, guiding you to your desired gate or service.
  • The central part of the terminal, near the ticket counters, serves as a good reference point if you find yourself lost or disoriented.
  • While moving between concourses, it's a short walk, so there's no need for shuttle services inside the terminal.
The observation deck, which was formerly gate 6, can be a good spot to visit if you have some spare time and want to watch aircraft movements.
