Getting Around JAX Airport
The layout of JAX Airport is straightforward, with its main terminal divided into distinct areas that aid in navigation. When you enter the terminal, you'll find the baggage claim area on the first floor and the ticketing area on the second floor. These are easily accessible from the entrance and well-signposted. As you move past these areas, you'll reach the mezzanine level, which serves as a hub for shops, restaurants, and the main security checkpoint leading to the concourses.
Once you've passed through security, the terminal splits into Concourses A and C. Each concourse has 10 gates, making a total of 20 gates. Both concourses are equipped with additional dining and shopping options to enjoy while waiting for your flight. Notable amenities include a Delta Sky Club on Concourse A and a multi-airline passenger club located behind the airside food court. For a bit of culture and history, explore the three galleries off the main courtyard before the security checkpoint, each offering different exhibits related to local culture and aviation history.

Security & Screening

Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)
Passengers departing from Jacksonville Airport can find security checkpoints located at the entrance of each concourse. There are a total of four checkpoints, two in Concourse A and two in Concourse C. The Main Terminal also has a security checkpoint for passengers who need to access the airport's amenities without boarding a flight. It is important to note that TSA PreCheck is available at all security checkpoints, allowing eligible passengers to expedite the screening process.
Fast Track Lanes and Locations
Jacksonville Airport offers a Fast Track program for passengers who want to skip the regular security lines. The Fast Track program is available to all passengers, regardless of airline or ticket class, for a fee. Fast Track lanes are located at each security checkpoint in Concourse A and Concourse C. Passengers who purchase the Fast Track program can use these lanes to expedite the screening process and get to their gate faster.
Passport & Immigration Control Locations
Passport and immigration control at JAX Airport is located in the Main Terminal, near baggage claim. All international passengers must go through passport and immigration control before exiting the airport. The airport has several Automated Passport Control (APC) kiosks to help expedite the process for eligible passengers. Additionally, Global Entry kiosks are available for members of the program to expedite the customs process upon arrival in the United States.
TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints
At the airport, there are several TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints located throughout the terminal. These checkpoints are designed to help expedite the security screening process for passengers. TSA Pre Check is a program that allows eligible passengers to enjoy expedited screening at security checkpoints. This program is available to U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents who have been pre-screened and deemed low-risk by the TSA. If you are a frequent traveler, it may be worth considering applying for TSA Pre Check to save time and hassle at the airport.

Global Entry Locations
Global Entry is a program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the United States. At JAX, there is a Global Entry enrollment center located in the main terminal. This center is open to U.S. citizens, U.S. lawful permanent residents, and citizens of certain other countries who meet eligibility requirements. If you are a frequent international traveler, Global Entry can be a great way to save time and hassle when entering the United States. Be sure to check the eligibility requirements and apply in advance to take advantage of this program.

Baggage Claim Areas
Upon arrival at Jacksonville Airport, passengers can easily locate their baggage claim area. The airport has four baggage claim carousels located in the lower level of the terminal building. Each carousel is designated for a specific airline, making it easy for passengers to find their luggage. The baggage claim areas are well-lit and equipped with seating areas for passengers waiting for their bags. Additionally, there are baggage carts available for passengers to use free of charge.
