Getting Around FSD Airport

The airport features a single terminal with seven gates, each equipped with loading bridges. The layout is straightforward, with all gates easily accessible from the main concourse. Gates 1, 3, 4, 6, and 7 can accommodate aircraft up to the size of an Airbus A320 or Boeing 737, while Gate 5 can handle larger aircraft like the Boeing 757. Gate 2 is designated for smaller regional jets, such as the CRJ 200 or ERJ-145.

Passengers can find amenities such as dining options, restrooms, and retail stores conveniently located within the terminal. Signage throughout the terminal is clear and helpful for navigating to gates, baggage claim, and other facilities. For those needing additional assistance, information desks are available to provide guidance. The compact nature of the terminal ensures that walking distances are minimal, making it easy to move from one area to another quickly.

However, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) services are available at nearby international airports such as Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport and Denver International Airport.

TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints

Sioux Falls Regional Airport offers both TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints for passengers. The TSA checkpoint is located on the main level of the terminal, near the airline ticket counters.
