Getting Around FSD Airport

Sioux Falls Regional Airport (FSD) features a single terminal layout, which simplifies the process of navigating through the facility. The terminal is equipped with seven gates, all of which are connected by a central concourse. This setup allows for easy access to any gate from the main entrance. Each gate has a loading bridge, enhancing the convenience for boarding and deplaning.

When you're inside the airport, here are a few tips to help you get around smoothly:

  • Gate Information: Gates are numbered 1 through 7. Gates 1 through 5 are suitable for aircraft up to the size of an Airbus A320 or Boeing 737. Gate 5 can also accommodate a Boeing 757, while Gate 2 is designed for smaller aircraft like the CRJ 200 or ERJ-145.
  • Accessibility: The terminal is designed to be accessible for all travelers, including those with mobility challenges. Elevators and accessible restrooms are available throughout the airport.
  • CBP Facilities: For international travelers, Customs and Border Protection facilities are available, though they are primarily intended for general aviation and cargo. Note that large charter and scheduled passenger services are not accepted at these facilities.

TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints

Sioux Falls Regional Airport offers both TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints for passengers. The TSA checkpoint is located on the main level of the terminal, near the airline ticket counters.
