Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)

Kansas City Airport has several security checkpoints located throughout the airport. The main security checkpoint is located on the upper level of Terminal B, near the entrance to Concourse B. There are also additional security checkpoints located near the entrances to Concourse A and Concourse C. Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport at least two hours before their scheduled departure time to allow enough time for security screening.

Fast Track Lanes and Locations

Fast Track lanes are available for passengers who are members of TSA PreCheck or CLEAR. TSA PreCheck members can use the dedicated TSA PreCheck lane at the main security checkpoint in Terminal B. CLEAR members can use the CLEAR lane at the same location. Both TSA PreCheck and CLEAR members can also use the dedicated lanes at the security checkpoints in Concourse A and Concourse C. These lanes allow members to bypass the regular security lines and go through security screening more quickly.

Passport & Immigration Control Locations

Passport and immigration control is located in the Federal Inspection Services (FIS) area of Terminal B. This area is only accessible to passengers arriving on international flights. After disembarking from their flight, passengers will follow signs to the FIS area, where they will go through passport control and customs. Once they have cleared customs, they will be able to collect their luggage and exit the airport.

TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints

At Kansas City Airport (MCI), the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) operates security checkpoints to ensure the safety of all passengers. TSA Pre-Check is also available for eligible passengers, allowing them to go through expedited security screening. To be eligible for TSA Pre-Check, passengers must apply and be approved through the TSA Pre-Check program. Once approved, they can enjoy the benefits of faster security screening, including not having to remove shoes, belts, and light jackets, and keeping laptops and liquids in their carry-on bags.

Once approved, they can enjoy the benefits of faster customs and immigration processing, as well as TSA Pre-Check eligibility for domestic flights.
