Getting Around ABE Airport
The airport features one main passenger terminal with nine gates, providing a straightforward layout for travelers. Upon entering the terminal, you will find essential services such as ticket counters, security checkpoints, and baggage claim areas conveniently located. The terminal is compact, making it easy to navigate between these areas without much hassle.
For those needing to access the satellite terminal, an underground tunnel connects it to the main terminal. This tunnel is clearly marked, ensuring that passengers can find their way without confusion. Additionally, the airport provides clear signage throughout the terminal, helping travelers locate amenities such as restrooms, dining options, and lounges.

Security & Screening

Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)
Lehigh Valley ABE Airport has two security checkpoints, one located on the first floor near the baggage claim area and the other on the second floor near the departure gates. Both checkpoints are equipped with state-of-the-art technology to ensure the safety and security of passengers and their belongings. Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport at least 2 hours before their scheduled departure time to allow for enough time to pass through security.
Fast Track Lanes and Locations
ABE Airport offers a TSA PreCheck program that allows eligible passengers to use a dedicated lane for faster security screening. The TSA PreCheck lane is located at the first-floor security checkpoint near the baggage claim area. In addition, the airport also offers a Clear program that provides expedited security screening for members. The Clear lane is located at the second-floor security checkpoint near the departure gates. Both programs require pre-enrollment and an additional fee.
Passport & Immigration Control Locations
The airport does not have international flights, therefore, there are no passport and immigration control locations at the airport. However, passengers traveling to international destinations from nearby airports such as Philadelphia International Airport or Newark Liberty International Airport will go through passport and immigration control upon arrival at their destination.
TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints
ABE has TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints for the convenience of travelers. TSA Pre Check is a program that allows expedited screening for eligible travelers, which means they can keep on their shoes, belts, and light jackets, and can leave laptops and liquids in their carry-on bags. To be eligible for TSA Pre Check, travelers must apply and be approved by the TSA. The TSA checkpoint at Lehigh Valley Airport is located on the lower level of the terminal.

Global Entry Locations
Lehigh Valley ABE Airport does not have a Global Entry enrollment center, but there are several nearby locations where travelers can apply for Global Entry. The closest enrollment center is located at Philadelphia International Airport, which is about an hour and a half drive from ABE Airport. Other enrollment centers in the area include Newark Liberty International Airport and John F. Kennedy International Airport. Global Entry is a program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers entering the United States. To apply for Global Entry, travelers must complete an online application and schedule an in-person interview at an enrollment center.

Lehigh Valley Airport has multiple baggage claim areas located in the lower level of the terminal. The baggage claim areas are easily accessible and clearly marked with signs and directions. Passengers can find their baggage claim carousel number on the flight information display screens located throughout the terminal. Baggage carts are available for passenger use near the baggage claim areas.
