Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)
LBB Airport has two security checkpoints located on the upper level of the main terminal. The first checkpoint is located near the entrance of the terminal, while the second checkpoint is located near the gates. Both checkpoints are equipped with advanced security technology to ensure the safety of all passengers and their belongings. It is recommended that passengers arrive at the airport at least two hours before their scheduled departure time to allow enough time for security screening.
Fast Track Lanes and Locations
The airport offers a Fast Track program that allows passengers to expedite the security screening process. The Fast Track lanes are located at both security checkpoints in the main terminal. Passengers who are enrolled in the TSA PreCheck program or have a Global Entry membership are eligible for the Fast Track program. The program allows passengers to keep their shoes, belts, and light jackets on, and their laptops and liquids in their carry-on bags. This program is designed to make the security screening process faster and more convenient for eligible passengers.
Passport & Immigration Control Locations
Passport and immigration control at LBB is located in the main terminal on the lower level. The airport has a U.S. Customs and Border Protection facility that allows passengers to clear customs and immigration before leaving the airport. The facility is open during international flight arrivals and is staffed by trained professionals who are available to assist passengers with any questions or concerns they may have. Passengers are advised to have all necessary travel documents and identification ready for inspection upon arrival at the facility.
TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints
At Lubbock Preston Smith Airport, passengers can find TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints conveniently located at the main terminal. Passengers who are enrolled in TSA Pre Check can use the designated lanes at the checkpoint, which typically have shorter wait times. However, it's important to note that not all airlines participate in TSA Pre Check, so travelers should check with their individual airline to confirm eligibility.

Global Entry Locations
Lubbock Airport does not currently have a Global Entry Enrollment Center. However, travelers can find Global Entry Enrollment Centers at other airports in Texas, such as Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport. Global Entry is a program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the United States. To enroll in Global Entry, travelers must complete an online application, pay a fee, and attend an in-person interview at an enrollment center. Once approved, travelers can use automated kiosks at select airports to complete their customs declaration and biometric verification, allowing for a faster entry process.
