Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)

MFE Airport has two security checkpoints located on the main terminal. The first one is located at the entrance of the terminal, near the ticket counters. The second one is located at the gate area, just before boarding the plane. Both checkpoints are equipped with advanced technology to ensure the safety of all passengers and their belongings. It is recommended to arrive at the airport at least two hours before your flight to allow enough time for security screening.

Fast Track Lanes and Locations

The airport offers a Fast Track service for passengers who want to expedite their security screening process. The Fast Track lanes are located at both security checkpoints in the main terminal. This service is available for a fee and can be purchased online or at the airport. Passengers who use the Fast Track service will be able to skip the regular security line and go through a dedicated lane, which usually has shorter wait times.

Passport & Immigration Control Locations

MFE has a dedicated area for passport and immigration control located in the main terminal. This area is located near the baggage claim area and is staffed by officers from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency. All international passengers arriving at the airport must go through this area to have their passports and visas checked, and to go through customs and immigration procedures. It is recommended to have all necessary travel documents ready and organized before arriving at the airport to avoid delays.

TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints

McAllen Miller Airport has both TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints available for passengers. TSA Pre Check is a program that allows expedited screening for low-risk travelers, meaning they can keep on their shoes, belts, and light jackets, and leave laptops and liquids in their carry-on bags. To use TSA Pre Check, passengers must apply and be approved through the TSA website or be a member of a trusted traveler program such as Global Entry. The TSA Pre Checkpoint at McAllen Airport is located near the main security checkpoint.
