Getting Around SJC Airport

San Jose International Airport consists of two main terminals: Terminal A and Terminal B. Terminal A, which opened in 1990, has 17 gates numbered 1–16, including a ground-level gate 7A. Terminal B, opened in 2010, features 20 gates numbered 17–36. Both terminals are connected airside, allowing passengers to move between them without having to go through security again.

When navigating the airport, keep in mind that Terminal A houses two paid-entry lounges called "The Club at SJC." One is near the international gates, and the other is located in the area previously occupied by the Admirals Club. Terminal B is equipped with modern amenities, including shared use ticket counters and gates, as well as seating areas with power outlets and USB ports.

For international travelers, both terminals have designated gates for international arrivals. In Terminal A, these are Gates 15 and 16, while in Terminal B, they are Gates 17 and 18. All international arrivals must clear customs and immigration in the International Arrivals building, unless arriving from airports with US border preclearance. Signage throughout the airport is clear and plentiful, helping passengers find their way to gates, lounges, and other amenities with ease.
