Getting Around MLU Airport
The layout of MLU Airport features a single, modern terminal that was completed in 2011. This terminal is equipped with six gates, four of which have jet bridges for easy boarding. The terminal is designed to facilitate a smooth flow of passengers from check-in to boarding. All essential services, including ticket counters, baggage claim, and car rental facilities, are conveniently located within this terminal.

Security & Screening

Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)
The airport has one security checkpoint located on the main level of the terminal building. The checkpoint is open daily from 4:00am until the last scheduled departure. Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport at least 90 minutes prior to their scheduled departure time to allow enough time for security screening.
Fast Track Lanes and Locations
MLU does not currently offer any fast track lanes for expedited security screening. However, TSA PreCheck is available for eligible passengers, which allows for a quicker and more efficient screening process. Passengers who are enrolled in TSA PreCheck can use the designated lanes and do not need to remove their shoes, belts, or light jackets, and can leave their laptops and liquids in their carry-on bags.
Passport & Immigration Control Locations
Monroe Regional Airport does not have any international flights, therefore there are no passport or immigration control locations within the airport. However, passengers traveling internationally from nearby airports such as Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport or Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport will go through passport and immigration control upon arrival in the United States.
TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints
At Monroe Airport, passengers can expect to go through TSA security checkpoints before boarding their flights. TSA PreCheck is also available for eligible passengers, allowing them to go through expedited security screening. To participate in TSA PreCheck, passengers must apply and be approved through the TSA PreCheck program.

Global Entry Locations
MLU Airport does not currently have a Global Entry enrollment center. However, nearby airports such as Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport and Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport have enrollment centers available for travelers who wish to participate in the Global Entry program. Global Entry allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers entering the United States.

Food, Shops & Services
Monroe Regional Airport may be small, but it still offers a variety of food and shopping options for travelers. If you're feeling hungry, head to the airport's sole restaurant, the Skybox Grill & Bar. Baggage Claim Areas
Monroe Regional Airport has two baggage claim areas located on the lower level of the terminal. Baggage claim area A is designated for flights arriving from American Airlines and Delta Airlines, while baggage claim area B is designated for flights arriving from United Airlines. Baggage carts are available in both areas for passengers to use free of charge.
