Each zone caters to different flight destinations with distinct gate arrangements and facilities. The terminal's layout is straightforward, making it easier for you to navigate through the areas. Here’s a quick guide on what you can expect in each section:
- Public Area: This area is split into two sections for check-in: one for flights within or outside Canada (except the U.S.) and another for U.S. departures. It includes amenities such as self-service kiosks, shops, and cafés.
- Domestic Jetty: Accessible via security checkpoint A, it features gates 1-12, 15, and 47-49 in the main jetty, and gates 17, 19, 21, 23, 25, 27, 28, 30, 32, and 34 in the satellite jetty.
- International Jetty: Also accessed through checkpoint A, it houses gates 50-53 and 55-68. This area offers a variety of shops, dining options, and relaxation spots, including a notable art installation, Veil of Glass.
- Transborder Jetty: Dedicated to U.S. departures and accessed via checkpoint C, it includes gates 72-89. It features amenities similar to other areas and requires passing through U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
For a smooth experience inside the terminal, follow the clear signage directing you to various gates and services. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the airport, allowing you to access digital maps or information as needed. Additionally, the airport is equipped with numerous art installations, adding an aesthetic value to your walk through the terminal.
