Getting Around YUL Airport

The airport features a two-storied terminal divided into four distinct zones: the public area, the domestic jetty, the international jetty, and the transborder jetty. The public area, located on both the departures and arrivals levels, includes dedicated sections for check-in based on the destination. Self-service check-in kiosks, shops, cafés, and amenities such as free Wi-Fi, luggage trolleys, ATMs, and nursing rooms are available throughout this area. Passengers arriving from international destinations will pass through a spacious arrival complex for customs inspection before proceeding to the baggage claim area.

The domestic jetty, accessible via security checkpoint A, is split into a satellite jetty and a main terminal wing. It comprises 26 gates, with the satellite jetty connected by a tunnel. The international jetty, also accessed through security checkpoint A, serves flights outside Canada and the United States and includes 18 gates. This area offers a variety of shopping and dining options, as well as relaxation spaces with natural light and artistic installations.

The transborder jetty, dedicated to U.S.-bound flights, has 18 gates and requires passengers to clear U.S. Customs and Border Protection after passing through security checkpoint C. Similar to other jetties, it features shops, restaurants, and rest zones. For some gates, additional security checkpoints can be set up if needed. Navigating between these zones is straightforward, with clear signage and accessible pathways to guide travelers efficiently.
