Getting Around ECP Airport
The terminal at ECP Airport spans 105,000 square feet and features seven gates. Gates 1 through 5 are equipped with jet bridges, making it easy for passengers to board and disembark from larger aircraft. Gates 6 and 7 are at ramp level, primarily serving regional aircraft. This layout ensures that travelers can efficiently navigate between different types of flights within the terminal.
For international travelers, there is a US Customs and Border Protection inspection facility within the terminal, although it is important to note that no international flights currently operate at this airport. Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)
Northwest Florida Beaches Airport has two security checkpoints located in the terminal building. The first checkpoint is located at the entrance to the terminal, and the second checkpoint is located near the gates. Passengers are required to go through security before entering the gate area. The airport recommends arriving at least two hours before your flight to allow enough time for security screening.
Fast Track Lanes and Locations
Panama City Airport does not currently offer fast track lanes for security screening. However, the airport does offer TSA PreCheck, which allows eligible passengers to go through a dedicated screening lane and keep on their shoes, belts, and light jackets. TSA PreCheck is available at both security checkpoints at ECP.
Passport & Immigration Control Locations
ECP Airport does not have international flights, so there are no passport or immigration control locations at the airport. However, passengers traveling to international destinations will go through passport and immigration control at their destination airport.
TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints
The Northwest Florida Beaches Airport (ECP) has TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints for passenger security screening. TSA Pre Check is a program that allows expedited screening for eligible passengers, who do not have to remove their shoes, belts, and light jackets, and can keep their laptops and liquids in their bags. To be eligible for TSA Pre Check, passengers must apply and pass a background check. The TSA Pre Checkpoint at ECP is located at the main security checkpoint.
