Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport Terminal Map
Getting Around VPS Airport
The terminal at this airport is a two-level structure that facilitates all passenger needs from ticketing to baggage claim. The first level houses Gates A1, A2, and A3, each equipped with waiting areas and a concession zone for grabbing a quick bite or a drink. Moving to the second level, you'll find Gates B1 through B6, although it's good to note that Gates B3 and B5 are less frequently used. The second level is also where you can enjoy a meal at the restaurant or explore additional concession options.
For ease of navigation:
- The ground-level gates (A1 to A3) are directly accessible from the terminal entrance.
- Upper-level gates (B1 to B6) can be reached via escalators or elevators. Keep in mind that B5 requires descending a narrow stairwell for boarding.

Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)
Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport has two security checkpoints located on the first floor of the terminal building. The main checkpoint is located near the ticket counters, while the second checkpoint is located near the baggage claim area. Both checkpoints are equipped with advanced screening technology to ensure the safety of all passengers and their belongings.
Fast Track Lanes and Locations
Fast Track lanes are available at Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport for passengers who want to expedite the security screening process. These lanes are located at the main security checkpoint and are accessible to passengers who have purchased a Fast Track pass or who are members of a trusted traveler program such as TSA PreCheck or CLEAR. Fast Track passes can be purchased online or at the airport.
Passport & Immigration Control Locations
VPS Airport does not have a dedicated passport and immigration control area as it only operates domestic flights. However, passengers are still required to present a valid government-issued photo ID such as a driver's license or passport at the security checkpoint. International travelers arriving in the United States will go through passport and immigration control at their first point of entry into the country.
TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints
The airport (VPS) has both TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints to ensure the safety and security of all passengers. TSA Pre Check is a program that allows pre-approved travelers to go through expedited security screening, which means they can keep their shoes, belts, and light jackets on, and leave laptops and liquids in their carry-on bags. To enroll in TSA Pre Check, passengers must apply online and attend an in-person appointment at an enrollment center.

Global Entry Locations
Global Entry is a program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the United States. Destin Airport (VPS) does not have a Global Entry Enrollment Center on-site, but there are several locations nearby where travelers can complete their Global Entry interview, including Pensacola International Airport and Mobile Regional Airport. To enroll in Global Entry, passengers must apply online and attend an in-person interview at an enrollment center.
