Getting Around ATW Airport

The terminal at ATW Airport has undergone several renovations, making it modern and functional for travelers. The layout includes eight operational gates. Gates 3 through 7, 7b, and 8 are equipped with jet bridges, facilitating easy boarding directly from the terminal to the aircraft. Gate 8b is designated for tarmac access, meaning you'll walk out onto the tarmac to board your plane. This setup is straightforward, allowing for a smooth transition from the check-in area to your gate.

When navigating inside the terminal, keep in mind that Gates 1 and 2 are less frequently used due to their proximity to the main terminal area and the difficulty in maneuvering aircraft in these spaces. This might mean less foot traffic and quicker access through security when they are in use. The terminal's design incorporates spacious seating areas and natural lighting, especially in the newer 30,000-square-foot gate area, which also features in-floor heating and a modern passenger paging system. If you're looking for a comfortable spot to wait, the areas near these gates might be your best bet.
