Terminal 1 Info & Layout
Terminal 1 at Perth Airport, originally known as the International Terminal, primarily handles international flights. It features five jetways and a total of seven gates, including a Multi Access Ramp System that supports dual boarding for large aircraft such as the Boeing 777 and Airbus A380. Terminal 1 is a hub for major international airlines, including Emirates, Singapore Airlines, and Air New Zealand. Each of these airlines offers exclusive lounges: the Emirates Lounge, which boasts a second level with direct boarding for the Airbus A380, the Singapore Airlines Silver Kris Lounge, and the Air New Zealand Lounge. Additionally, the terminal hosts the unaffiliated Aspire Lounge.
In November 2015, a new domestic pier was added to the west end of Terminal 1, which serves Virgin Australia's domestic flights and includes a dedicated Virgin Australia lounge. This pier has eight gates and is connected to Terminal 2 by a pedestrian walkway, facilitating easy access between the terminals.
Passengers can access Terminal 1 via pedestrian walkways from nearby parking facilities and other terminals. The terminal's unique features, such as the Multi Access Ramp System and the extensive lounge offerings, make it a noteworthy choice for travelers flying internationally from Perth Airport.
