Terminal A at Philadelphia International Airport is a key hub for both domestic and international flights. It is divided into two sections: Terminal A West and Terminal A East.
Terminal A West is primarily used for international flights and is home to major airlines such as American Airlines, British Airways, and Lufthansa. This section features 13 gates and boasts a modern design by Kohn Pedersen Fox, Pierce Goodwin Alexander & Linville, and Kelly/Maiello. Terminal A East serves both domestic and international flights for airlines like Aer Lingus, American Airlines, Frontier Airlines, and Spirit Airlines. It houses 11 gates and has received upgrades to its baggage claim facilities. Most gates are equipped for international arrivals, leading passengers to the customs facility in Terminal A West. Amenities include an Admirals Club, a British Airways Galleries Lounge, an American Express Centurion Lounge, and a children's play area.
