Getting Around CMH Airport

The airport features a single terminal building with three concourses: A, B, and C, comprising a total of 34 gates. This layout simplifies navigation, as all facilities are centrally located within the terminal. Concourse A, which has 7 gates, primarily serves Southwest Airlines. Concourse B, with 16 gates, is used by American Airlines, Air Canada, Spirit Airlines, and United Airlines. Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)

CMH Airport has several security checkpoints located throughout the airport. The main security checkpoint is located in the center of the terminal, near the entrance to Concourse B. There are also additional security checkpoints located at the entrance to Concourse A and Concourse C. Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport early to allow enough time for security screening.

Fast Track Lanes and Locations

The airport offers a TSA PreCheck program for eligible passengers, which allows them to use the dedicated TSA PreCheck lanes for faster security screening. The TSA PreCheck lanes are located at the main security checkpoint in the center of the terminal, near the entrance to Concourse B. Additionally, there are dedicated lanes for CLEAR members, a biometric identity verification program that allows members to skip the security line entirely. CLEAR lanes are located at the main security checkpoint as well.

Passport & Immigration Control Locations

Passport and immigration control for international flights is located in the main terminal building, near baggage claim. Upon arrival, passengers will proceed to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) checkpoint for passport and immigration control. After clearing CBP, passengers will collect their baggage and proceed through customs. The airport also has Global Entry kiosks available for expedited passport control for eligible passengers.

TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints

At CMH, TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints are available to help expedite the security screening process for travelers. TSA Pre Check is a program that allows eligible passengers to enjoy expedited security screening, which means they can keep their shoes, belts, and jackets on, and their laptops and liquids in their bags. To participate in TSA Pre Check, travelers must apply and be approved by the TSA. The TSA Pre Checkpoint is located near the Southwest Airlines ticket counter.

Global Entry Locations

Global Entry is a program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the United States. At John Glenn Columbus Airport, the Global Entry Enrollment Center is located on the lower level of the terminal near the baggage claim area.
