Getting Around DCA Airport
The airport features two main terminals: Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Terminal 1, which is the older of the two, contains gates A1–A9 and serves airlines such as Air Canada Express, Frontier, and Southwest. Terminal 1 is known for its unique central design and has undergone several renovations to modernize its facilities. Terminal 2 is the larger and newer terminal, divided into four concourses: B, C, D, and E, with a total of 50 gates. This terminal houses a variety of airlines, including Alaska Airlines, Delta, United, American, JetBlue, and American Eagle.
Travelers should note that the two terminals are not connected post-security, so if you need to transfer between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, you will have to exit and re-enter through security. Within Terminal 2, the concourses are connected by National Hall, a central corridor that makes it easier to navigate between gates. The terminal also offers amenities like Delta Sky Club, United Club, and multiple American Admirals Clubs for passengers looking for a more comfortable waiting experience.
For efficient navigation, pay attention to the gate numbering system, which uses letters A through E to designate the concourses. For example, Gate C33 is located in Concourse C of Terminal 2. Signage throughout the airport is clear and helpful, and information desks are available if you need further assistance. Additionally, the airport is equipped with various moving walkways and elevators to facilitate easy movement between different areas.

Security & Screening
In this section, you will learn about the various security and screening services available at the airport. Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)
The airport has several security checkpoints located throughout the airport terminals. The main terminal has two security checkpoints, one located on the north side and the other on the south side of the terminal. Terminal A has one security checkpoint located near the entrance, while Terminal B has two security checkpoints, one near the entrance and the other near the gates. Terminal C has one security checkpoint located near the gates. All security checkpoints are equipped with TSA PreCheck lanes for eligible passengers.
Fast Track Lanes and Locations
Washington Reagan Airport offers a Fast Track program for expedited security screening. Fast Track lanes are available at all security checkpoints for eligible passengers, including TSA PreCheck members, CLEAR members, and passengers traveling in first or business class. The Fast Track program allows passengers to bypass the regular security lines and move through security screening more quickly.
Passport & Immigration Control Locations
Passport and immigration control at DCA is located in the main terminal. International arrivals will proceed to the passport control area after disembarking from their flight. The passport control area is equipped with Automated Passport Control kiosks for eligible passengers, which can help expedite the passport control process. After clearing passport control, passengers will proceed to baggage claim and then to customs for inspection.
TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints
Reagan National Airport has several TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints located throughout the terminal. These checkpoints are designed to ensure the safety and security of all passengers and their belongings. TSA Pre Check is a program that allows pre-approved passengers to go through a faster and more streamlined security screening process. To participate in TSA Pre Check, passengers must apply and be approved by the TSA.

Global Entry Locations
Reagan Airport has a Global Entry Enrollment Center located in Terminal C. Global Entry is a program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the United States. To participate in Global Entry, passengers must apply and be approved by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency. In addition to the enrollment center, Global Entry kiosks are available in the international arrivals area to expedite the customs process for approved travelers.

At DCA Airport, CLEAR offers expedited security screening services for travelers. CLEAR Plus lanes are located in the following terminal(s):

Food, Shops & Services
Reagan National Airport offers a variety of food and shopping options for travelers. Whether you're looking for a quick bite or a sit-down meal, there are plenty of options to choose from. The main terminal has a food court with a variety of fast food options, including McDonald's, Chick-fil-A, and Dunkin' Donuts. Terminal A has a Starbucks and a Potbelly Sandwich Shop, while Terminal B has a Cava Grill and a Five Guys Burgers and Fries. Terminal C has a Legal Sea Foods and a &pizza.
In addition to food and shopping, Reagan Airport also offers a variety of amenities and services for travelers. There are several lounges, including the American Airlines Admirals Club and the United Club, for those who want to relax before their flight. The airport also has free Wi-Fi throughout the terminals, as well as charging stations for electronic devices. Airport Lounge Locations

Baggage Claim Areas
Washington Reagan Airport has three baggage claim areas located on the lower level of the terminal. Baggage claim for Terminal A is located at the north end of the terminal, while Terminal B and C are located at the south end. Each baggage claim area has monitors displaying flight information and baggage carousel numbers. If you need assistance with your baggage, customer service representatives are available at each baggage claim area.
