Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)

The Syracuse Hancock Airport has two security checkpoints located in the main terminal building. One is located near the entrance to Terminal A and the other is located near the entrance to Terminal B. Both checkpoints are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and are staffed by TSA agents who are responsible for screening passengers and their belongings before they board their flights.

Fast Track Lanes and Locations

The Syracuse Hancock Airport offers a TSA PreCheck program that allows eligible passengers to use a dedicated fast track lane at the security checkpoint. The TSA PreCheck lane is located at the main security checkpoint near the entrance to Terminal A. In addition, some airlines offer their own fast track lanes for their premium passengers. These lanes are typically located near the main security checkpoint and are marked with signs indicating which airlines offer the service.

Passport & Immigration Control Locations

The Syracuse Hancock Airport does not offer international flights, so there are no passport or immigration control locations within the airport. However, passengers traveling internationally will go through passport and immigration control at their port of entry into the United States, which may be a different airport or a land border crossing.

TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints

At SYR, TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints are available for passengers to go through security screening. TSA Pre Check is a program that allows eligible passengers to go through an expedited security screening process, which means they can keep on their shoes, belts, and light jackets, and leave laptops and liquids in their carry-on bags.
