Getting Around TOL Airport

The airport features a single passenger terminal with nine gates, laid out in three main sections: the central part, the east wing, and the western wing. The central part of the terminal is the most active, with Gates 3, 4, and 5 being used regularly. The east wing includes Gate 2 on the upper level and Gates 1 and 1A on the lower level, capable of accommodating multiple aircraft simultaneously. The western wing, comprising Gates 6 through 8, is less frequently used, with some gates no longer operational.

Upon entering the terminal, travelers will find the check-in counters and security screening on the ground level. After passing through security, passengers move to the upper level, where the main waiting area is located. This area offers amenities such as a food court, bar, and free Wi-Fi. For families traveling with children, there is a play area near Gates 1 and 2, although it is currently inaccessible to the public. On the lower level, passengers can access vending machines, an ATM, and the baggage claim area, which is situated on the east side of the terminal and features two carousels. Rental car counters are conveniently located between the arrivals waiting area and the baggage claim.

Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)

Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport at least two hours before their scheduled departure time to allow enough time for security screening.

Fast Track Lanes and Locations

Passport & Immigration Control Locations

TOL does not have international flights, so there are no passport or immigration control locations at the airport.

TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints

Toledo Express Airport has both TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints available for passengers. The TSA checkpoint is located near the main entrance of the terminal and is open daily from early morning until the last flight of the day. The TSA Pre Checkpoint is located near the standard TSA checkpoint and is available for eligible passengers who have enrolled in the TSA PreCheck program. This program allows for expedited screening, meaning passengers can keep on their shoes, belts, and light jackets, and leave laptops and liquids in their carry-on bags.
