Venice Marco Polo Airport offers a variety of transportation options to get you to your destination efficiently. Whether you're heading to the city center, a nearby railway station, or a seaside resort, there are several ways to travel from the airport.
Taxis & Limousines
Taxis are readily available outside the Arrivals Hall. You can find them in the designated taxi ranks. For limousine services, you may need to book in advance through local providers.
Private Shuttles & Buses
- Venice Airport Shuttle: Shared-ride motorboat service to the city center, taking 20 to 45 minutes. Pre-booking 48 hours in advance is required.
- AVCO Bus: Direct service to Campsite Marina di Venezia, operational from May to September, four times daily.
- ACTV Bus 5: Connects to Venice-Santa Lucia railway station, with a stop at Piazzale Roma Square, a short walk across the Ponte della Constituzione bridge.
- ACTV Bus 15 and ATVO Fly Bus: Serve Venezia-Mestre railway station, with connections to Milan, Verona, and other Italian cities. Tickets available in the Arrivals lounge. Contact ACTV at 041 2424 and ATVO at 0421 494672.
- Alilaguna: Offers private motorboat connections with a ticket booth in the Arrivals Lounge.
Ride-Share Services
Ride-share services like Uber may not be available in Venice. It's advisable to check local options or use traditional taxis.
Rental Cars
Rental car facilities are located within the airport. Major providers such as Avis, Hertz, and Europcar offer services. You can find their desks in the Arrivals area.
Public Transportation
- ACTV and ATVO buses: Connect the airport to Venezia Mestre and Venezia Santa Lucia railway stations. Buses depart from the second lane outside the Arrivals Hall. The trip to Mestre takes about 25 minutes, and to Santa Lucia, about 35 minutes.
- Trains: Reach both Venice Mestre and Venezia Santa Lucia railway stations via bus or taxi. For schedules, visit Trenitalia's website.
Venice by Public Boats
