Getting Around HPN Airport
The terminal at HPN Airport is compact and straightforward, consisting of three levels and six gates. However, only four gates can be used simultaneously due to ramp space limitations. Gates A, B, C, and F are equipped with jetways for passenger convenience. The terminal's layout makes it easy to navigate, with clear signage directing travelers to various amenities and services.
Upon entering the terminal, passengers will find the check-in counters and TSA screening lanes on the first level. After clearing security, travelers can access the departure lounge, which offers seating and a few dining options. The second level houses the gates and additional passenger services, including a gift shop. For those arriving at the airport, the baggage claim area and a luggage carousel are located on the first level, along with a baggage claim office for any issues with luggage.
Here are some tips for getting around the terminal:
- Follow the clear signage to quickly locate check-in counters, security lanes, and gates.
- Take note of the gate assignments and jetways (A, B, C, and F) to ensure a smooth boarding process.
- Utilize the departure lounge and food concessions while waiting for your flight.
- If you have any baggage concerns, visit the baggage claim office on the first level.

Security & Screening
In this section, you'll find detailed information about the airport's security and screening processes, including the location of security checkpoints, the availability of TSA PreCheck and CLEAR services, and guidance on passport and immigration control. Additionally, learn about the benefits of expedited screening programs and how to enroll or renew your TSA PreCheck membership. Whether you're a frequent flyer or a first-time traveler, this guide will help you navigate the security procedures smoothly and efficiently.
Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)
HPN Airport has one security checkpoint located on the second floor of the terminal building. Passengers are required to pass through security before accessing the boarding gates. The security checkpoint is equipped with X-ray machines and metal detectors to ensure the safety of all passengers and their belongings. It is recommended that passengers arrive at the airport at least 90 minutes before their scheduled departure time to allow enough time for security screening.
Fast Track Lanes and Locations
The airport does not offer any fast track lanes for passengers. However, TSA PreCheck is available for eligible passengers, which allows them to use expedited screening lanes and keep their shoes, belts, and light jackets on. TSA PreCheck is available at the security checkpoint and passengers can apply for the program online or in-person at an enrollment center.
Passport & Immigration Control Locations
Westchester Airport does not have any international flights, therefore, there are no passport or immigration control locations at the airport. All flights departing from HPN are domestic flights within the United States. However, passengers are still required to provide a valid form of identification, such as a driver's license or passport, at the security checkpoint.
TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints
Westchester County Airport has both TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints. The TSA checkpoint is located on the first floor of the main terminal, and is open daily from 4:00am until the last flight of the day. The TSA Pre checkpoint is also located on the first floor, and is open Monday through Friday from 5:00am to 7:00pm, and on weekends from 5:00am to 5:00pm. TSA Pre allows expedited screening for eligible passengers, who can keep on their shoes, belts, and light jackets, and leave laptops and liquids in their carry-on bags.
