Domestic Terminal Info & Layout
The Domestic Terminal at Brisbane Airport is a two-storey curved building designed to efficiently handle domestic flights. This terminal is strategically divided into three areas catering to different airlines: Qantas and QantasLink at the northern end, Virgin Australia at the southern end, and other carriers like Jetstar in the central area.
The Qantas concourse features nine bays with aerobridges, including one dual bridge, and offers three lounges: The Qantas Club, Business Class, and Chairman's Lounge. Virgin Australia's concourse, located in the former Ansett Australia section, has 11 parking bays, nine of which are equipped with aerobridges, including two dual bridges. Virgin Australia provides two lounges for its passengers: the Virgin Australia Lounge and the Beyond Lounge.
Travelers can access the Domestic Terminal via pedestrian walkways from the airport's main entry points. Additionally, remote bays are available to the north and south of the building for non-jet aircraft, while the central area accommodates jet aircraft.
Noteworthy features of the Domestic Terminal include its well-organized layout for easy navigation and the variety of lounges catering to different passenger needs. The terminal is set to undergo significant upgrades and improvements, particularly in the lounges and retail spaces, to enhance the overall passenger experience.
