Getting Around CLE Airport
Getting around CLE Airport is straightforward due to its single, two-level passenger terminal structure. The terminal is split into four concourses, though only three are currently operational: Concourses A, B, and C. Each concourse serves different airlines and purposes. Concourse A is dedicated to Frontier, Spirit, and all international arrivals, including a customs and border protection facility. Concourse B caters to Delta and Southwest flights, whereas Concourse C handles flights from Air Canada Express, Alaska, American, JetBlue, and United, except for international arrivals.
Here are some tips for navigating inside the airport:
- Level Organization: The lower level of the terminal is generally for arrivals and baggage claims, while the upper level is designated for departures and check-ins.
- Concourse Access: All concourses are accessible from the main terminal area, making it easy to move between them if needed. Signage is clear, directing you to your required concourse and gate.
- Walking and Connectivity: Moving between concourses may require a bit of walking, so it's good to allow extra time for transfers, especially from Concourse C to A, which are on opposite ends of the terminal.

Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)
The airport has several security checkpoints located throughout the airport. The main security checkpoint is located in the center of the ticketing level in the main terminal. There are also additional security checkpoints located at each concourse, including Concourse A, B, C, and D. These checkpoints are easily accessible for passengers traveling through each concourse.
Fast Track Lanes and Locations
Passengers who are looking to expedite their security screening process can take advantage of the TSA PreCheck program. This program allows eligible passengers to use dedicated TSA PreCheck lanes, which are typically faster than standard security lanes. The TSA PreCheck lanes are available at all security checkpoints throughout CLE, including the main terminal and each concourse.
Passport & Immigration Control Locations
Passengers arriving at Cleveland Hopkins Airport from international destinations will need to go through passport and immigration control. The passport and immigration control area is located in the baggage claim area of the main terminal. After collecting their luggage, passengers will need to proceed to the passport and immigration control area to have their passports checked and stamped by a U.S. Customs and Border Protection officer.
TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints
At Cleveland Airport, TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints are located at each terminal's entrance. TSA Pre Check is a program that allows pre-approved travelers to go through expedited security screening, which means they can keep their shoes, belts, and light jackets on, and their laptops and liquids in their bags. To enroll in TSA Pre Check, travelers need to apply online, provide biographical information, and pay a fee. Once approved, they can use TSA Pre Check lanes at participating airports nationwide.

Global Entry Locations
Global Entry is a U.S. Customs and Border Protection program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the United States. At CLE Airport, Global Entry kiosks are located in the international arrivals area of the main terminal. To enroll in Global Entry, travelers need to apply online, provide biographical information, undergo a background check, and attend an in-person interview at a Global Entry Enrollment Center. Once approved, they can use Global Entry kiosks at participating airports and land borders.

CLEAR Plus lanes are located at the Main Terminal near the security checkpoint entrance.

Baggage Claim Areas
When arriving at Cleveland Hopkins Airport, passengers can find their baggage at one of the three baggage claim areas located in the lower level of the main terminal. Each baggage claim area is clearly marked with the corresponding flight numbers and airlines. If you have any trouble locating your baggage, there are airport staff members available to assist you.
