Getting Around FRA Airport
FRA features two main terminals, Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, each distinctly organized to facilitate easy navigation. Terminal 1, the larger of the two, is segmented into concourses A, B, C, and Z. It's designed with multiple levels including departure and arrival zones on separate floors, enhancing flow and accessibility. Terminal 2, although smaller, is divided into concourses D and E. - Use the SkyLine: This train connects both terminals, with frequent services every 2-3 minutes. Note that it has separate cars for Schengen and non-Schengen passengers, so make sure you board the correct one depending on your destination within the airport.
- Check terminal assignments: Terminal 1 primarily serves Lufthansa and Star Alliance flights, while Terminal 2 caters to oneworld and SkyTeam airlines, among others. This can help you plan your route if you're catching a connecting flight.
- Signage and Information: Keep an eye on the clear signage throughout the airport, guiding you to your gate, baggage claim, or transfer points. Information desks are also available if you need personal assistance.

Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)
FRA has several security checkpoints located throughout its terminals. These checkpoints are located in Concourse A, Concourse B, Concourse C, Concourse D, Concourse E, and the Main Terminal. Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport at least two hours before their scheduled departure time to allow enough time to pass through security.
Fast Track Lanes and Locations
Frankfurt Airport offers Fast Track services for passengers who want to expedite their security screening process. The Fast Track lanes are available in Concourse A, Concourse B, Concourse C, Concourse D, Concourse E, and the Main Terminal. Passengers who are eligible for the Fast Track service include those traveling in First Class or Business Class, members of certain frequent flyer programs, and passengers who have purchased a Fast Track pass.
Passport & Immigration Control Locations
Passport and immigration control at Frankfurt Airport is located in the Main Terminal. Passengers arriving from non-Schengen countries will need to pass through passport control before they can collect their luggage and exit the airport. Passengers departing to non-Schengen countries will also need to pass through passport control before they can board their flight. FRA Airport has implemented automated passport control kiosks to help expedite the process for eligible passengers.
