Airside C at Pittsburgh Airport is a key component of the airport's operations, primarily handling international flights, with the exception of those arriving from cities with United States border preclearance. This concourse features 6 gates and is an integral part of the Airside Terminal, which is accessible via two underground people movers from the Landside Terminal ticketing area.
American Airlines is a major airline operating from this concourse, offering travelers access to its Admirals Club located on the mezzanine level. This club lounge, positioned across from gate C-52 near the center core, provides a comfortable space for travelers and was renovated and expanded in 2019 to enhance its offerings.
In addition to the Admirals Club, Concourse C hosts a free lounge specifically for active duty military personnel and veterans, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment for those who serve. The concourse is also part of the larger AirMall experience, which was one of the pioneering airport shopping experiences in the world, offering retail stores and restaurants with pricing consistent with their non-airport locations.
Passengers can easily navigate to other concourses within the Airside Terminal, as the terminal layout allows for seamless connections between Concourse A, B, C, and D. Unique to Pittsburgh Airport, the AirMall was reopened to non-travelers in 2017, allowing them to shop and dine in the terminal, although this access is currently suspended. This feature underscores the airport's commitment to providing a unique and accessible travel experience.
