Airside D Info & Layout
Airside D at Pittsburgh Airport is primarily focused on handling domestic flights and is a hub for several major airlines. This concourse features 7 gates, making it a smaller but integral part of the airport's operations. Despite its size, Airside D offers a range of amenities and services to ensure a comfortable experience for travelers.
Travelers can access Airside D via the airport's efficient underground people mover system, which connects the Landside Terminal to the Airside Terminal, where all departure gates are located. This seamless connection ensures easy movement between terminals, enhancing the overall travel experience.
Airside D is part of the larger Airside Terminal complex, which includes an AirMall operated by Fraport. This shopping area was one of the first of its kind and offers a variety of retail stores and dining options, where prices are consistent with those found outside the airport. Although the AirMall was previously accessible to non-travelers, this access is currently suspended.
Unique to Pittsburgh Airport, the Airside Terminal also includes a free lounge for active duty military and veterans located in Concourse C, along with an Admirals Club for American Airlines passengers. These features, along with the airport's focus on providing a consistent retail experience, make Airside D noteworthy for air travelers passing through Pittsburgh Airport.
