NOTE:  Bus tickets are available at the news store of the Terminal's Arrivals area.

Public AliBus Line 457 runs every 20 mins and stops at Central Station, city center and downtown.  The trip costs only one Euro and takes between 20-30 mins. It makes the following stops along its route:  Fontanarossa Airport, Asse dei servizi, Faro Biscari, Tempio, Colombo, Borsellino Square (under the bridge), Vittorio Emanuele, Duomo, Etnea, Stesicoro, Sicilia, Martiri Libertà, & Catania Railway Station.

* NOTE:  On June 18, 2017, the first stage of the Passante Catania project opened.  The project is to enable operation of frequent suburban services across the city from Taormina (at North) to Letini (at south) via Catania Centrale.  Of the intended three stations Ognina & Europa are already open, while Picanello is to open  later.  
At the second phase the line would be modernized between Catania Centale & Bicocca and include construction of a new station at Fontanarossa to serve the Airport.
