Getting Around COS Airport
Colorado Springs Airport features a straightforward layout with one main terminal and two concourses. However, for your visit, you'll primarily be concerned with the operational concourse. This concourse includes gates 1–12, which are actively used for commercial flights. The layout is user-friendly, making it easy to navigate to your gate.
When you're inside the airport, moving between different areas is a simple process, but keep in mind that if you need to access the other concourse, you will have to exit the secure area. This involves walking through the main terminal and down a long hallway. Since the second concourse (gates 14–18) is not used for regular passenger services and is mainly for meetings, you likely won't need to visit there. For ease of movement, focus on the signage that directs you to all operational areas and services within the main concourse.
See the concourses at COS Airport and discover where each airline operates.

Security & Screening
In this section, you'll find detailed information about the security and screening processes at the airport. Learn about the locations of security checkpoints, the availability of TSA PreCheck and CLEAR lanes, and how to expedite your screening process. Additionally, discover the procedures for passport and immigration control, and find out how to enroll in programs like Global Entry and TSA PreCheck to make your travel experience smoother and more efficient.
Locations of Security Checkpoint(s)
Passengers departing from COS Airport will find security checkpoints located on the upper level of the main terminal. There are two security checkpoints, one on the east side and one on the west side of the terminal. Both checkpoints are equipped with advanced security screening technology to ensure the safety of all passengers and their belongings.
Fast Track Lanes and Locations
For passengers who want to expedite the security screening process, the airport offers TSA PreCheck lanes. These lanes are located at both security checkpoints in the main terminal. TSA PreCheck allows eligible passengers to enjoy a faster and more efficient screening experience, without having to remove their shoes, belts, or light jackets. Additionally, passengers who are members of the CLEAR program can use the dedicated CLEAR lane at the east security checkpoint to bypass the regular security lines.
Passport & Immigration Control Locations
COS does not have any international flights, so there are no passport or immigration control locations at the airport. However, passengers who are traveling internationally from other airports should ensure they have all necessary travel documents and visas before departing. It is recommended to arrive at the airport at least two hours before an international flight to allow enough time for check-in, security screening, and any necessary immigration procedures at the destination airport.
TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints
At Colorado Springs Municipal Airport, TSA and TSA Pre Checkpoints are available to help expedite the security screening process for passengers. TSA Pre Check is a program that allows eligible passengers to enjoy a faster and more convenient screening experience by using dedicated lanes and not having to remove certain items from their carry-on bags. To apply for TSA Pre Check, passengers can visit the TSA website and complete an online application. TSA Pre Check is available at select airports across the United States, including COS.

Global Entry Locations
Global Entry is a program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the United States. At Colorado Springs Airport, Global Entry kiosks are available for eligible passengers to use. To apply for Global Entry, passengers must complete an online application and schedule an interview at a Global Entry Enrollment Center. There are several Enrollment Centers located throughout the United States, including one in Denver, which is approximately an hour and a half drive from COS.
