The Fairbanks Airport (FAI) offers two basic parking options to all passengers. This includes the short- and long-term parking lots, which offer a convenient parking option to all passengers. The main parking lot is located directly in front of the main terminal building. Both lots are equipped with electrical charging stations. The short-term parking lot is the only handicap-enabled parking space. The airport also provides a public parking option located on the East ramp.

FAI Off-Airport Parking

The short-term parking lot is located directly in front of the FAI airport. It is the only airport which features handicap-accessible parking spaces and is just a few minutes walk away from the terminal. Both lots are equipped with electrical charging stations.

The long-term parking lot is located directly in front of the FAI airport. It is located directly in front of the airport terminal and is just a few minutes walk away from the terminal. Both lots are equipped with electrical charging stations.

Public Parking

The public parking space can be found on the University Avenue South on the East Ramp (lots 1 & 2). It is an ideal parking space for people who are looking for a convenient and spacious parking lot.

Note: lost card keys will incur a $50 charge
Employee Parking
Location: At the airport, lot C
Rate: $25/month
Electric Vehicle (EV) Parking Stations
Both the short- and long-term parking lots are equipped with electric vehicle parking stations. Using these stations is free of cost for all passengers. However, the respective standard parking rates for the short or long term parking lot apply.
Accessible/Handicap Parking
The FAI Airport also provides people with restricted mobility with a convenient option for parking. There are specific parking spaces allotted in the short-term parking lots for such passengers. They are required to prominently display an official disabled license plate or any other official permit to be allowed to park in these allotted spots. Any violations to this requirement might result in the towing away of the owner’s car.
