Frequent Flier Terminal Tips

To help you navigate the airport terminals with ease, we’ve gathered the best advice and tips from ROC-based frequent travelers, flight attendants, pilots, and airport staff. Their first-hand insights will guide you through the terminals for a smoother journey. Here’s what they have to say:

Navigating the Airport

"If you're flying out of Concourse A, remember that gates A1-A11 are all within a short walk from the security checkpoint. This means you can get through security faster and still have plenty of time to grab a coffee or snack before your flight." — John D., Irondequoit, NY, December 2023

"For those connecting through Concourse B, it's a good idea to familiarize yourself with the layout beforehand. Gates B1-B10 are spread out, so knowing where your gate is can save you a lot of time and stress." — Emily R., Brighton, NY, February 2024

Amenities & Services

"Don't miss the Genesee Brew House in the Main Terminal if you have some time to kill. It's a great place to relax and enjoy a local brew. Plus, the seating area offers a nice view of the runway." — Mark S., Greece, NY, March 2024

"The Delta Sky Club in Concourse B is a lifesaver for frequent fliers. It has comfortable seating, free Wi-Fi, and plenty of charging stations. It's the perfect spot to get some work done or just unwind before your flight." — Lisa T., Henrietta, NY, May 2024

Security

"The TSA PreCheck lane near Concourse A is a game-changer. If you're eligible, you can breeze through security without taking off your shoes or removing your laptop from your bag. It saves so much time, especially during peak hours." — Alex W., Webster, NY, June 2024

"If you're traveling internationally, allow extra time for passport control. The CBP facility is efficient, but it can get busy during peak times. Arriving early ensures you won't miss your connecting flight." — Maria L., Fairport, NY, August 2024

Baggage

"For quick baggage claim, check the monitors in the terminal for your carousel number as soon as you land. Baggage carts are available and can be a big help if you have a lot of luggage." — David K., Penfield, NY, April 2024

"If you have a tight connection, consider using only carry-on luggage. This way, you can avoid the wait at baggage claim and head straight to your next gate." — Sarah M., Pittsford, NY, September 2024
