Terminal 3 Info & Layout
Terminal 3 at Manchester Airport primarily handles domestic flights and is a significant hub for British Airways and its codeshare partners within the Oneworld alliance. Originally opened in 1989 as a domestic terminal, it has undergone several rebranding phases before becoming Terminal 3 in 1998. The terminal spans an area of 44,400 square meters (478,000 square feet) and offers a range of services and amenities tailored to enhance the travel experience.
Terminal 3 is equipped with a number of gates to accommodate various domestic flights. While specific gate numbers are not detailed here, the terminal is designed to efficiently manage passenger flow and provide a seamless travel experience.
Travelers can access Terminal 3 through a covered walkway that connects it to Terminal 1 and the skylink. The skylink is a key feature of the airport, offering covered pedestrian access to the airport railway station complex, known as The Station, and the Radisson BLU Hotel. This makes it convenient for passengers to transfer between terminals or access public transportation options.
Unique to Terminal 3 is its rich history and architectural design by Grimshaw Architects, which was part of a £75 million extension opened by British Airways in 1998. This terminal is noteworthy for its strategic importance in domestic air travel and its role in connecting passengers to British Airways and Oneworld alliance flights.
