Terminal C Info & Layout

Terminal C at Newark Liberty Airport is a key hub for United Airlines and its regional carrier, United Express, handling both domestic and international flights. This terminal is exclusively operated by United Airlines, making it a central point for their global operations.

With a total of 68 gates, Terminal C is the largest terminal at Newark Liberty Airport. It features three concourses: C-1, C-2, and C-3. The International Concourse C-3 can accommodate up to 19 narrow-body aircraft or 12 wide-body planes, enhancing its capacity for international travel. The terminal has undergone significant expansions and renovations, including a major $1.2 billion overhaul known as the Continental Airlines Global Gateway Project, which was completed in 2003.

Passengers at Terminal C can enjoy a wide array of amenities and services. The terminal is renowned for its dining options, with 55 restaurants curated by celebrity chefs, earning it the title of 'Best for Foodies' in the nation by Fodor's Travel Awards in 2019. Additionally, the terminal offers a United Polaris Lounge for international business class passengers, providing a luxurious experience for travelers.

Access to Terminal C is facilitated through a combination of pedestrian walkways and automated transport systems. While the current AirTrain monorail system connects passengers to other terminals and airport facilities, a new system is scheduled to open in 2024. Terminal C is also connected to Terminals A and B, allowing for seamless transfers within the airport.

One of the unique features of Terminal C is its integration of technology to enhance the passenger experience, including the installation of 6,000 iPads for interactive dining and entertainment options. This focus on innovation and convenience makes Terminal C a standout facility for air travelers.
