Frequent Flier Terminal Tips

To help you navigate the airport terminals with ease, we’ve gathered the best advice and tips from ONT-based frequent travelers, flight attendants, pilots, and airport staff. Their first-hand insights will guide you through the terminals for a smoother journey. Here’s what they have to say:

Navigating the Airport

"If you’re flying out of Terminal 2, give yourself a bit of extra time to explore the terminal. It’s not as crowded as Terminal 4, and you’ll find some quieter spots to relax before your flight. Plus, the signage is super clear, so it’s hard to get lost." — Maria G., Rancho Cucamonga, CA, December 2023

"Don’t forget that the international arrivals facility is separate from the main terminals. If you’re picking someone up, make sure you know which gate they’re arriving at to avoid confusion." — James K., Fontana, CA, February 2024

Amenities & Services

"The Escape Lounge in Terminal 2 is a hidden gem. For a small fee, you get access to comfortable seating, snacks, and high-speed Wi-Fi. It’s a great place to unwind if you have a long layover." — Lisa M., Upland, CA, January 2024

"ONT offers free Wi-Fi throughout the airport, but the signal can be stronger near the charging stations. If you need to get some work done, find a spot close to one of these areas." — Daniel H., Chino, CA, April 2024

Security

"The TSA PreCheck lanes at ONT are a lifesaver, especially during peak travel times. If you don’t have PreCheck, consider enrolling—it can significantly cut down your wait time." — Karen S., Ontario, CA, March 2024

"CLEAR is available at both Terminal 2 and Terminal 4. If you travel frequently, it’s worth the investment for the expedited security screening. The biometric verification is quick and hassle-free." — David R., Riverside, CA, June 2024

Baggage

"If you’re flying out of Terminal 4 and have checked bags, try to arrive a bit earlier. The baggage claim area can get busy, and it’s better to have some buffer time in case of any delays." — Emily T., Pomona, CA, May 2024

"For those with heavy luggage, baggage carts are readily available near the carousels in both terminals. They’re free to use, which is a nice touch compared to some other airports." — Michael W., San Bernardino, CA, August 2024
