Terminal 5 at London Heathrow Airport is a pivotal hub for British Airways and its partner Iberia, exclusively handling both domestic and international flights. This terminal boasts an impressive 50 gates, including three hardstands, and is designed to accommodate a high volume of passengers with its extensive facilities.
The terminal is composed of a four-story main building (Concourse A) and two satellite buildings (Concourses B and C), which are seamlessly connected by an underground people mover transit system. Concourse A is primarily utilized for British Airways' narrowbody fleet for UK and European destinations, while Concourse B caters to widebody fleets, excluding the Airbus A380, which is specifically served by Concourse C with its seven dedicated stands.
Terminal 5 offers a wealth of amenities and services, including more than 100 shops and restaurants, ensuring a comfortable and convenient experience for travelers.
