This page provides details about Terminal 2 at Sahar International Airport. Here, you can find comprehensive information about the terminal's layout, amenities, and connectivity options.

Intl Terminal Info & Layout

The Intl Terminal at Sahar International Airport, known as Terminal 2, serves as a major hub for both international and domestic flights. This state-of-the-art terminal is primarily used by major airlines such as Air India, Vistara, and SpiceJet, among others. It features a total of 48 stands in its initial phase, with plans to expand to 72 stands, including 38 Code E/F contact stands and 20 Code C remote stands.

Terminal 2 boasts a wide array of amenities and services designed to enhance the travel experience. Passengers can enjoy the GVK Lounge, a luxurious common lounge for First and Business class travelers, as well as the Niranta Airport Transit Hotel, which offers 32 rooms for passengers who have checked in. The terminal also includes 21,000 square meters of retail space, lounges, travel services, and a multi-level car park for 5,000 cars.

Access to Terminal 2 is facilitated by the six-lane Sahar Elevated Access Road, connecting it to the Western Express Highway. Additionally, a metro rail link is under construction to further enhance connectivity. The terminal is equipped with 48 escalators, 75 elevators, and 42 travelators to assist passengers in navigating its four levels. For those needing to transfer between terminals, a three-lane underground tunnel is planned to connect Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, making airside passenger movement seamless.

One of the unique features of Terminal 2 is its architectural design, with a 42-meter high roof and an X-shaped layout that accommodates both domestic and international operations. The terminal is also known for its effective use of the Multiple Aircraft Ramp System (MARS) and swing gates, allowing flexible aircraft accommodation. Despite some criticism regarding the WiFi service, Terminal 2 remains a noteworthy facility for its comprehensive services and innovative design.
