TPA Landside Map & Guide
This page offers insights into the Landside Terminal at Tampa Airport, detailing its layout, amenities, and the innovative transportation system that connects passengers to the Airside satellites.
Landside Info & Layout
The Landside Terminal at Tampa International Airport serves as the central hub for ticketing and baggage functions, connecting passengers to four Airside satellites (A, C, E, and F) where boarding and disembarkation occur. This terminal primarily handles both domestic and international flights, with Airsides E and F equipped with duty-free shops for international travelers. Major airlines operating from these airsides include a mix of domestic and international carriers.
The Landside Terminal is noteworthy for its innovative transportation system, as it was the first airport in the world to implement a fully automated, driver-free people mover system. This elevated automated people mover (APM) system connects the Landside Terminal to the Airside satellites using 16 Bombardier Innovia APM 100 Shuttle Cars, which are currently being upgraded to Bombardier Innovia APM 300R C801B models.
The terminal provides access to 59 gates distributed among the four Airsides: Airside A with 16 gates, Airside C with 16 gates, Airside E with 13 gates, and Airside F with 14 gates. Each Airside is equipped with amenities such as food courts, gift shops, and outdoor smoking patios, ensuring a comfortable experience for travelers.
Passengers can easily access the Landside Terminal via the automated people mover system, which offers seamless connections to the Airside satellites. This efficient transport system, combined with the terminal's well-designed layout and comprehensive amenities, makes the Landside Terminal a convenient and traveler-friendly hub at Tampa International Airport.
