Terminal 2 Info & Layout
Terminal 2 at Mexico City Benito Juarez Airport is a modern facility primarily handling international flights and serving as the main hub for Aeroméxico. Inaugurated on March 26, 2008, this terminal is home to several major airlines, including Aeroméxico, Aeroméxico Connect, Copa Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and LATAM Airlines from Brazil, Chile, and Peru.
Spanning a total area of 288,000 square meters (3,100,000 sq ft), Terminal 2 features 30 gates (numbered 52 to 81), all equipped with jetbridges. The terminal is organized into three piers, with the northern pier hosting gates 52-62 and the southern pier hosting gates 63-75. Pier L, added in 2020, is dedicated to Aeroméxico Connect services with narrow-body aircraft and includes gates 75 to 81. Additionally, there are 10 remote positions accessible via bus.
The terminal offers a variety of amenities to travelers, including food courts, duty-free shops, and several VIP lounges such as the HSBC Premier Lounge, Salón Beyond by Citibanamex, and Salón Centurión by American Express. For those seeking accommodations, the terminal houses a 287-room NH hotel and the izZzleep Hotel Terminal 2. Parking facilities are available for up to 3,000 vehicles.
Passengers can access Terminal 2 via a bus shuttle service named "inter-terminal transportation," which connects it to Terminal 1. The shuttle operates between entrance 6 of Terminal 1 and entrance 4 of Terminal 2. Alternatively, passengers with a boarding pass, as well as technical and cabin crew, can use the Aerotrén people mover system. This automated transport system operates at a speed of 45 kilometers per hour (28 mph) and has a daily passenger capacity of 7,800.
