Getting Around LAX Airport
LAX Airport features a U-shaped or horseshoe layout with nine passenger terminals, making it straightforward to visualize and navigate. Terminals are numbered 1 through 8, plus the Tom Bradley International Terminal, referred to as Terminal B. For inter-terminal movement, you have several options depending on where you are and where you need to go:
- Landside: Shuttle route A buses connect all terminals.
- Airside: Pedestrian corridors and skybridges link terminals, allowing you to walk between them without exiting and re-entering security.
Specific pathways include a corridor connecting Terminals 1, 2, and 3, skybridges from the Tom Bradley International Terminal to Terminals 3 and 4, and a tunnel linking Terminals 4, 5, and 6. A ground-level walkway joins Terminals 6, 7, and 8. For some terminal transitions, such as from Terminal 1 to the Tom Bradley International Terminal, shuttle buses are provided airside. Familiarize yourself with these options to make your transit through the terminals smoother and quicker.
