FCO Terminal 5 Map & Guide

This page is dedicated to providing information about Terminal 5 at Rome Leonardo da Vinci Airport. Here, you will find details on the terminal's layout, transportation connections, and available amenities.

Terminal 5 Info & Layout

Terminal 5 at Rome Leonardo da Vinci Airport is primarily known for handling international flights and serves as a hub for several major airlines, including Northwest Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Continental Airlines, United Airlines, US Airways, American Airlines, and El Al. Although Terminal 5 was closed for renovations in January 2017, it remains a significant part of the airport's infrastructure.

Terminal 5 does not have dedicated gates as it was integrated into the larger Terminal 3 complex, which includes Gates E1–E52. Passengers departing from Terminal 5 are typically bused to the boarding areas that were once part of Satellite C in Terminal 3.

Access to Terminal 5 is facilitated through the main airport infrastructure, with connections to Terminal 3 via an automated people mover known as the SkyBridge. This automated transport system, Innovia APM 100, connects passengers between the terminal and gate area E31–44. Departing passengers use the westbound service from Terminal 3 to the gates, while arriving passengers use the eastbound service. It is important to note that the SkyBridge is restricted to specific passenger movements to maintain security protocols.

Though Terminal 5 itself does not boast unique amenities, the incorporation into Terminal 3 provides travelers with access to a wide array of services and facilities, including dining options, shopping outlets, and passenger lounges. The ongoing renovations and expansions at Rome Leonardo da Vinci Airport ensure that travelers using Terminal 5 will benefit from enhanced services and infrastructure in the future.
