Terminal 4 Info & Layout
Terminal 4 at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) plays a pivotal role in handling both domestic and some international flights. It primarily serves as a hub for American Airlines, which operates a significant number of flights from this terminal. With 16 gates (Gates 40, 41, 42A, 42B, 43–45, 46A, 46C, 47A, 47B, 48A, 48B, 49A, and 49B), Terminal 4 is well-equipped to handle a high volume of passengers.
Travelers passing through Terminal 4 can enjoy a variety of amenities and services designed to enhance their travel experience. The terminal offers two lounges: an Admirals Club and a Flagship Lounge, both operated by American Airlines, providing comfort and convenience for eligible passengers.
Access to Terminal 4 is facilitated by LAX Shuttle route A buses, which connect all terminals on the landside. Additionally, passengers can move between terminals on the airside through various pedestrian corridors, allowing seamless transitions without exiting and reentering security. A tunnel connects Terminal 4 with Terminals 5 and 6, and skybridges provide a direct link to the Tom Bradley International Terminal (Terminal B), enhancing connectivity for international travelers.
One of the unique features of Terminal 4 is its integration within the broader airport layout, allowing passengers to benefit from the ongoing Landside Access Modernization Program (LAMP). This program includes the future LAX Automated People Mover, which will further streamline terminal connections and provide links to external transport facilities.
