LAX Terminal 2 Map & Guide
This page offers insights into Terminal 2 at Los Angeles Airport, detailing its layout, amenities, and connectivity options to enhance your travel experience.
Terminal 2 Info & Layout
Terminal 2 at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is a key hub for domestic flights, primarily serving as a base for Delta Air Lines. Additionally, it accommodates WestJet and has check-in facilities for Virgin Atlantic. The terminal features 13 gates, specifically Gates 20, 21, 21B, 22, 23A, 23B, 24, 25A, 25B, 26A, 26B, 27, and 28.
Originally constructed in 1962, Terminal 2 was LAX's first international terminal. It underwent a complete teardown and rebuild between 1984 and 1988, designed by Leo A Daly. Although it has Customs and Border Protection (CBP) facilities, these are currently not operational pending further security and usability renovations.
Amenities in Terminal 2 include a Delta Sky Club located on the upper level. The terminal is accessible via LAX Shuttle route A buses, which connect all terminals on the landside. Additionally, passengers can transit between terminals on foot through various pedestrian corridors without having to exit and re-enter airport security.
Terminal 2 is connected to Terminal 3 via a pedestrian corridor, enhancing ease of movement for travelers. By December 2025, the LAX Automated People Mover will further improve connectivity by linking terminals on the landside, along with connections to the LAX Consolidated Rent-A-Car Facility, parking facilities, and the LAX/Metro Transit Center station.
Noteworthy for its historical significance and modern amenities, Terminal 2 offers travelers a seamless experience with efficient access to other parts of LAX and beyond, making it a vital component of the airport's operations.
